Local routes on Bikely
there are a few local routes on Bikley:
We have a fairly dense network of roads to choose from in the area, leading to some varied terrain from long drags and shorter, steeper climbs through Avonbridge, Slammanan, Longriggend and Limrigg, flatter terrain to the east of West Lothian around Kirkliston, and of course some leg testers in the Bathgate Alps.
Testing climbs can be found on the Preston Road, heading into the Bathgate Hills from the south of Linlithgow, and the Ballancrieff climb, from just west of Bathgate sports centre. Kingscavil, east of Bridgend, is a wall that will get everyone out the saddle.
BATHGATE ALPS
The climbs of the Bathgate Alps - West Lothian's cycling Mecca.
The name was given to the area by West Lothian Clarion founding member Sadiq Mir in 2007. The Alps are bordered by Linlithgow in the North, Bathgate in the South, Torphichen in the West and Winchburgh in the East.
